Event Submission Guidelines
Rules for submitting events to QEvents
QEvents is a curated space for queer events worldwide. Every submission is reviewed by a real human before it's published. We keep this space safe, accurate, and relevant — that means we might not approve every submission. That's okay. Here's what we're looking for.
Who Can Submit
Anyone can submit an event — you don't need an account. We welcome submissions from:
- Event organizers and collectives
- Bars, clubs, and venues
- Cultural centers, galleries, and nonprofits
- Community members submitting events they know about
If you submit an event you didn't organize, please make sure the information is accurate and public. Use our native event form at /submit.
What We Accept
- Events that are explicitly queer-centered, queer-friendly, or organized by queer people or organizations.
- Events anywhere in the world.
- Public events: parties, drag shows, art exhibitions, film screenings, markets, community gatherings, workshops, sports, concerts.
- Free events and paid events are both welcome.
- Future events only — we don't list events that have already happened.
- Recurring events (weekly, monthly) — submit once and mention in the description that it repeats.
What We Don't Accept
- Events that discriminate based on sexual orientation, gender identity, race, disability, body size, or any other characteristic.
- Events organized by or affiliated with hate groups or organizations hostile to LGBTQ+ people.
- Events with no city or location — all events must have a physical venue and city.
- Private events (invite-only, no public access).
- Events that have already taken place.
- Commercial promotions that aren't actual events (product launches, ads, etc.).
- Submissions with fake or misleading information.
Information Requirements
For your event to be approved, we need at minimum:
- Event name — what it's called
- Date / Time — when it happens
- Venue — where it is
- City & Country — where the event takes place
- Category — Party, Drag, Community, Film, Art, Market, Show
- Description — at least a sentence about what to expect
- Price — so people can plan ahead
Optional but appreciated: ticket link, Instagram, event image, organizer name.
Review Process
All submissions go through a quick manual review. Here's what to expect:
- We aim to review submissions within 48 hours.
- If approved, your event goes live immediately.
- If we need more info, we'll reach out via the contact details you provided.
- If rejected, we'll let you know why so you can resubmit.
Submitting an event doesn't guarantee it will be published. We reserve the right to decline any submission that doesn't align with our community values.
Content Standards
- Write descriptions in the language your audience speaks — Spanish, French, English, or a mix. We support all three.
- Keep descriptions accurate. Don't oversell or misrepresent the event.
- Images must be yours to use (no copyright infringement). If in doubt, don't include one — our color system makes every event look great without images.
- Ticket links and Instagram handles must be real and working.
